Accreditation
The University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
The Pre-Optometry Program provides an excellent foundation for students who plan to attend optometry school.
Upon admission, each student works with a pre-professional advisor, who helps the student develop a strategy for selecting courses, identifying an appropriate departmental major (degree program), and navigating the optometry school application process.
During the second or third semester of study, each student selects a major field of study, and a faculty advisor is assigned to develop a plan to meet degree requirements for that major.
The University offers a variety of activities and organizations that enable students to participate in volunteer activities, internships, and community service. Other opportunities include the University's Honors Program and study abroad programs—which range from summer programs to a single semester or a full academic year in over 56 countries.
